When she walks into a room or opens the microphones, The First Lady of Gospel Radio, Morgan Dukes, welcomes the Holy Spirit to fill the place. Then, her magnetic personality takes over. Full of warmth and charisma, Morgan is an established professional in her craft and has delighted listeners for years over the airwaves. It may seem a bit like a cliché, but Morgan is what you would call "a natural".
Broadcaster
Morgan's broadcasting career began while she was yet a youngster. She was intrigued with local television and radio broadcasters in her hometown. In fact, so intrigued that she knew that she would one day join the ranks of them. Even as early as high school, she was featured on local television commercials and showed promise as a Student Representative for various speaking engagements of behalf of the school.
Morgan's broadcasting career has kept her quite busy over the years with positions (from Television Reporter to Program Director) at various stations featuring music from various genres (County to Top 40, R&B to Gospel) at a variety of stations.Including GLORY 1340 and SGN "The Light". In addition to her radio career, Morgan has worked on motion pictures, national commercials, and television shows which aired on Daystar and TBN. Currently, she hosts "The Gospel Express" which airs nationwide weekdays (11A-3P EST) on "The Light" and at www.sgnthelight.com.
In addition to her radio career, Morgan is constantly working in ministry and media. She is in the process of writing a book, developing shows for broadcast and has definite plans to return to the screen soon. Keep your eyes and hears open.
Ministry
A significant milestone in the life of Morgan was when she accepted the calling of being a "Gospel Radio Announcer". The miracle of this was how the Lord orchestrated the move from R& B radio into Gospel while at the same time joining her with her husband, Pastor Jerome Dukes.only God could have done this. He placed her in a prosperous field while showing her his grace and love. It was a beautiful way to totally change my life.
Morgan worships and serves in ministry at Community Fellowship Christian Center International, Riverdale, GA under the leadership of her husband, Pastor Jerome Dukes. As the "First Lady", she works very closely with the teen ministry (TNT-Teens In Training), the Women's Fellowship and the "Women of Virtue" Conference, which is an awesome teaching event for anyone in the Body of Christ.
With a daily radio broadcast, various teaching sessions & speaking engagements, the responsibilities of being "First Lady" and the many other things that keep Morgan busy, she wouldn't change a thing along the road to her "latter end".
